We turn AI curiosity into real, usable skill
Most people know AI is powerful. Then they open a blank prompt box and freeze. They type something vague, get something generic back, and quietly conclude the technology is overhyped.
It isn't. The gap is craft — knowing how to give a model context, structure, constraints and examples. That craft is learnable in an afternoon and compounds for years. PromptForge exists to teach it, without the hype, the jargon walls, or the $2,000 bootcamp price tag.
Why this exists
PromptForge started as a personal reference — a growing file of prompts that actually worked, notes on which model handled which task best, and calculators for the questions that came up constantly. How many tokens is this? What will this cost at scale? Will this fit in the context window?
It turned out those were everyone's questions. So the notes became courses, the calculators became free tools, and the reference became a platform. It's built and maintained by one developer, which means it moves fast, has no investors to please, and answers to the people who use it.
What we believe
Practical over theoretical
Every lesson ships with prompts you can copy and run in the next 30 seconds. If it can't be used immediately, it doesn't belong in a course.
Honest about trade-offs
We tell you when a model is worse, when a tool is overpriced, and when the hyped technique doesn't actually help. Trust is worth more than affiliate revenue.
Free where it matters
The tools are free forever, with no sign-up and no usage caps. Learning shouldn't be paywalled at the point where someone is just getting curious.
Your data stays yours
Tools run entirely in your browser — nothing you paste is transmitted anywhere. We collect the minimum needed to run an account, and nothing else.
How we make money
Being upfront about this matters more than most sites think. PromptForge is currently free. As it grows, revenue will come from three places: a premium membership for advanced courses and unlimited AI Brain storage, affiliate commissions when you buy AI tools we recommend, and a marketplace where creators sell prompt packs.
What we will not do: rank a worse tool higher because it pays more, hide a model's weaknesses to protect a commission, sell your email address, or put ads inside a lesson. If a recommendation is affiliate-linked, it's because we'd recommend it anyway.
